Paintings!!

Even though my passion is still Chalk Pastel illustrations, I have been practicing my acrylic painting skills and been really enjoying it. I know I am versatile and trained in all media but it is very relaxing with acrylics. I have done a huge superhero mural, numerous paintings for free-lance since I have switched to acrylics. (This stuff is more recent within the the last 3 years)

the four letter powerful word...

"Love." Acrylic, canvas painting.

Retro Black and White

"Accident? or Murder." Charcoal Illustration.

"Scene of the Crime..." Charcoal Illustration.

Here fishy, fishy...

"Bruce". Acrylic Optix Color Painting.

This was another vintage peice of artwork from art school. The concept was simple: make colors pop, show depth by painting little dots to create overall shapes by mixing colors together. As you can see there are yellows, pinks, etc, that would not be found underwater. It's an a very old trickery skill of optical illusion. When looked at the proper distance, the colors merge with your vision and pops like a 3D painting and the colors are exact. For example, the shark is naturally dark grays underwater but no blacks, grays were used.

The Circus is in Town!
