Here fishy, fishy...
"Bruce". Acrylic Optix Color Painting.
This was another vintage peice of artwork from art school. The concept was simple: make colors pop, show depth by painting little dots to create overall shapes by mixing colors together. As you can see there are yellows, pinks, etc, that would not be found underwater. It's an a very old trickery skill of optical illusion. When looked at the proper distance, the colors merge with your vision and pops like a 3D painting and the colors are exact. For example, the shark is naturally dark grays underwater but no blacks, grays were used.
